I designed a pet adoption app Patch,  that helps users find and adopt pets based on their lifestyle and preferences. The app features a clean, user-friendly interface with personalized pet matches and streamlined adoption process.

In current online adoption processes there is a lack of personalized matches or recommendations based on potential adopters as well as limited communication options and outdated interfaces create barriers for both adopters and shelters, slowing down the adoption process.

I researched current shelter statistics in the United States and found shelters took in approximately 6.5 million cats and dogs, yet only 4.8 million were adopted, leaving many animals without homes​. I believe every animal deserves a home and that anyone looking for a pet should be able to find one that matches their lifestyle preferences without having to search through hundreds as well as pets should be able to find a good home on the first try. 

I created a pet adoption mobile app that accurately creates personalized matches based on user lifestyle preferences, location, and compatibility through engaging pet profiles. As well as creating streamline communication and adoptions built in chat features between shelters and potential adopters.
